Patrick Jane is the lead character of The Mentalist, the CBS crime drama that ran from 2008 to 2015, played by Simon Baker as a former fake psychic who helps investigators solve cases by reading people. Years after the show ended, editors on TikTok and YouTube kept Jane's smirking, observant persona alive through short fancams. This audio, shared under the name erikkk, became attached to those edits as a signature backing track. Its continued use comes less from a single scene and more from how well it matches Jane's confident image online.

Patrick Jane edit song audio used in The Mentalist fancams, a short moody track creators loop under confident smirk edits and character tribute videos.
This is the short edit song linked to Patrick Jane, the sharp, smiling consultant from The Mentalist. The audio has the polished, moody feel of a fan edit track, built to sit under slow motion walks, knowing glances and confident reveals. It does not rely on dialogue, so the character's calm and smug energy carries the moment. Viewers instantly read it as cool and a little dangerous, which makes a simple clip feel like a highlight reel. It works best when the visuals match its swagger rather than playing it for outright comedy on its own.
