Exotic Butters comes from Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location, released in 2016, where the HandUnit offers it as a reward instead of a bonus. Players latched onto the absurd phrase and shared the clip across YouTube and meme edits, turning the throwaway gift into one of the game's most quoted lines. Its popularity comes from how specific and unnecessary the reward sounds, so the audio is still used whenever something underwhelming is presented as special.

The original Exotic Butters voice line from Five Nights at Freddy's Sister Location, used in memes for random gifts and absurd reveals online.
This is the deadpan HandUnit announcement of exotic butters, delivered in a flat robotic voice over a brief pause. The line lands because such an ordinary grocery item is presented like a grand reward, with the slow emphasis on each word making it sound strangely important. Listeners hear the contrast between the serious delivery and the silly prize, which turns a two second clip into an instant punchline for disappointment, randomness and fake luxury. It works best when the visual promises something far bigger.
