The audio originates from promotional material for Revenge of the Sith, the 2005 third film in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. It is associated with Emperor Palpatine, also known as Darth Sidious, and is commonly labeled the Senate’s Force Scream by fans. Short extracts of the shriek circulate in Star Wars edits, villain montages, reaction videos, and parodies. Its connection to a major Sith character and its abrupt, theatrical intensity keep it useful whenever an edit needs an unmistakably dark turn.

Palpatine’s Force Scream from the original Revenge of the Sith trailer is a sharp Sith shriek used for dramatic reveals, attacks, and dark reaction edits.
This short clip captures the Force Scream associated with Palpatine, the Senate, and the Sith in the original Revenge of the Sith trailer. It is a piercing, supernatural-sounding yell with an aggressive rise and a cinematic finish, landing somewhere between a battle cry and a Force-powered shock. The sound immediately raises the stakes, making an entrance, attack, or sudden reveal feel more dangerous. Its brief length also gives edits a fast burst of dark Star Wars intensity without requiring dialogue or a longer scene.
