Gawr Gura is a shark-themed VTuber with Hololive English who debuted in 2020 and became known for her playful, exaggerated reactions during gaming and chatting streams. Short clips of her distinctive voice, including this drawn-out E sound, were shared widely as memes and reaction audio on YouTube, TikTok and Discord, where fans reuse them to punctuate funny or surprising moments. Because the sound is instantly recognisable to VTuber fans and needs no context to land, it has remained a staple in edits, streams and short-form videos.

Gawr Gura's drawn-out E scream from her Hololive streams, a high-pitched vocal burst used in memes, edits and reaction videos for shock or excitement.
This clip captures VTuber Gawr Gura letting out a long, rising E sound that starts bright and teasing before stretching into a loud, cartoonish squeal. Her voice climbs in pitch, wobbles slightly, and holds just long enough to feel exaggerated without turning into a full shout, which is why it lands so well as a punchline. Hearing it instantly signals playful panic, mock horror, or over-the-top excitement, and it cuts through dialogue and music without needing any explanation. It works best as a sudden burst of personality, turning an ordinary moment into something silly, dramatic, and instantly recognisable to fans.
