Gonkers circulates mainly as a short soundboard clip rather than a widely documented song, film line or television catchphrase, so its exact first appearance is hard to pin down with confidence. That ambiguity has not stopped it spreading through meme edits, reaction videos and short-form posts, where the word itself becomes the joke. Creators reuse it because it is instantly recognisable as a burst of silliness, easy to drop into a scene and easy for viewers to remember and repeat.

Gonkers is a playful exclamation clip used as a funny reaction sound in memes and short videos. Creators use it for surprise moments and silly punchlines.
Gonkers is a loud, goofy shout built around a single playful word, delivered with exaggerated energy that lands somewhere between a cartoon cheer and a surprised yelp. The clip keeps its focus on that one exclamation, letting the silly pronunciation and punchy delivery do the work rather than relying on music or background noise. Played over a video, it instantly signals that something absurd, unexpected or gleefully over-the-top has just happened, turning a small moment into a joke in itself.
