The clip is associated with Martin, the 1990s sitcom starring Martin Lawrence, where heated, fast-talking arguments were a signature part of the humour. Short out-of-context lines from the show have long circulated as reaction sounds, and this blunt sit-down command fits that pattern perfectly. Online, creators use it as a verbal slap-down rather than a full scene, which is why it works in memes, gaming clips and argument edits. Its directness and familiar sitcom tone keep it instantly recognisable even without the original episode context.

Martin Lawrence angrily tells someone to sit down in this short sitcom clip, delivered as a loud, bossy put-down for reaction videos and meme edits.
This is a short, angry voice clip of a man snapping at someone to sit down, delivered with the blunt, no-nonsense energy of a 1990s sitcom argument. His voice is loud, fast and fed up, with the emphasis landing hard on the command itself, so it feels less like a request and more like an order that ends the conversation. Played over a reaction video or a heated exchange, it instantly frames the other person as out of line and gives the creator the last word. Its brevity is part of the joke, because the scolding arrives, lands and stops before anyone can argue back.
