Little is documented about the original recording behind this version, so its life online is mostly as a short shareable funk excerpt rather than a full song. Creators lift the recognisable neck hurts hook and loop it over reaction clips, edits and short form videos where a physical gag needs a musical punchline. The mix of a danceable groove with a minor complaint travels well because it works without context, and the short length makes it easy to replay, remix and drop into new jokes.

A short funk meme clip built around the repeated line its neck hurts, used in edits and reaction videos for awkward pain, fails and overstretched jokes.
This is a brief funk loop driven by a bouncy bassline, tight drums and a looped vocal hook repeating the neck hurts line. The groove feels upbeat and slightly absurd, which makes the complaint sound funnier than painful. Each repeat lands like a punchline, building a restless energy that suits fast cuts and exaggerated reactions. Listeners hear confidence in the beat clashing with the whiny lyric, and that contrast is what makes the clip stick in the mind after just a couple of plays.
