Old Town Road was released by Lil Nas X in 2018 and exploded on TikTok before a 2019 remix with Billy Ray Cyrus helped it spend a record 19 weeks at number one in the US. Its mix of banjo and trap drums made it instantly recognisable and easy to parody. Boosted edits later circulated on video platforms, exaggerating the bass for comic effect, and the clip remains popular for cowboy jokes, ironic entrances, and edits where confidence far outweighs the situation.

A loud boosted clip of Lil Nas X's hit Old Town Road with distorted bass, used in memes and edits for a funny over the top entrance or reveal.
This is an 11 second boosted version of the chorus from Old Town Road by Lil Nas X, pushed so loud the bass distorts and the vocals clip at the peaks. The familiar banjo loop and country trap beat hit immediately, with Billy Ray Cyrus style drawl and swagger turned up to an absurd level. Instead of sounding clean like the radio version, it feels intentionally blown out and funny, which is why viewers instantly read it as a joke entrance, a flex, or an overconfident moment that is about to go wrong.
