The sploosh gag comes from Archer, the adult animated sitcom centred on a dysfunctional spy agency, where Pam Poovey is known for her loud, unfiltered reactions. The sound became shorthand among fans for instant attraction, lifted from the show into short clips, reaction videos and soundboards where it could be replayed out of context. Its brevity and unmistakable wet splash make it easy to drop into almost any thirst joke, which is why it has stayed in circulation long after viewers first heard it on television.

Pam's famous 'sploosh' sound from Archer, a short wet splash used to punctuate awkward, thirsty or overexcited reactions in memes and edits.
This is the brief, wet sploosh made famous by Pam Poovey in Archer, a cartoonish splash that lands like a single drop hitting water and then fading almost instantly. It is short, silly and deliberately over the top, turning an otherwise ordinary reaction shot into a joke about being instantly, embarrassingly turned on. Played over a character glancing at a crush, a thirst trap or an unexpectedly attractive moment, it tells the audience exactly what that character is feeling without a single line of dialogue, which is why it works so well as a punchline in short edits and reaction videos.
