This clip circulates as a loud TikTok scream used mainly for short prank and reaction videos, especially by students who play it at school to surprise friends. The tagline attached to it encourages classmates to use it in class, and that school setting helped it spread as a quick, shareable scare rather than as part of a longer song or scene. With no clear film or television source behind it, its popularity comes from the format itself: a two-second burst that fits TikTok edits, Discord jokes, and classroom pranks, where the sudden noise is the whole punchline.

A loud, high-pitched rake scream sound effect used in TikTok videos and school pranks to startle friends with a sudden, funny shriek in class.
A sharp, loud scream that sounds like someone being startled by a rake, rising quickly into a high-pitched shriek before cutting off abruptly after about two and a half seconds. The voice is raw and frantic, with no music or background noise to soften it, so the sudden burst of noise feels jarring and deliberately over the top. It works because the scream is so unexpected and exaggerated that it reads as comic rather than frightening, turning a simple scare into a punchline. Listeners tend to flinch first and then laugh, which makes it useful for short clips where the reaction is the joke.
