The clip comes from Russian-language meme edits built around sigma culture, the internet joke about the lone, self-assured male archetype that spread widely on TikTok and short video platforms in the early 2020s. The phrase in the existing caption, roughly 'this is... sigma,' became a shorthand reaction for moments that look effortlessly cool. Editors reuse it alongside bruh and other deadpan reaction clips because the exaggerated respect works for sports highlights, anime edits, gaming wins and everyday fails turned into victories, keeping the sound useful long after the original trend peaked.

A short sigma male meme sound used for a respectful, cool moment reveal. Creators drop it when someone acts confident, stoic or unexpectedly impressive.
This is a short Russian meme clip built around a drawn-out, awestruck reaction to a sigma moment. A voice pauses in disbelief before delivering the word sigma with deadpan reverence, turning an ordinary display of confidence into a joke about respect. The timing does most of the work, with the silence before the reveal making the person on screen seem cooler and more mysterious than they really are. It feels both sincere and ironic at once, which is why viewers instantly read it as praise for someone acting calm, independent and unbothered under pressure.
