Rupert Calling You circulates on soundboards as a short call-themed voice clip, shared mainly for its simple premise of someone calling out over the phone. Its popularity comes from how easily viewers understand the setup without any context, making it a staple for prank edits, roleplay chats and fake call videos online. Clips like this spread through short-form reposts and soundboard collections, where a familiar call cue works alongside similar gags such as the discord call sound for group chat jokes and staged conversations.

Rupert Calling You is a phone call sound effect of a male voice answering and talking on a call, used for prank calls, skits and funny incoming call edits.
Rupert Calling You is a short voice clip built around a phone call moment, with a clear male voice speaking as if he has just picked up or is calling out to someone. The delivery is casual and slightly drawn out, which makes the line feel personal and instantly recognisable as an incoming call gag. Because there is no music underneath, the voice sits cleanly over other audio and reads well even on small speakers. Viewers hear it as a cue that a conversation is starting, often with a prank or awkward twist about to follow.
