The sound comes from Friends on the Other Side, Dr Facilier's villain song in Disney's 2009 animated film The Princess and the Frog, voiced and sung by Keith David. Facilier, a smooth talking witch doctor in New Orleans, uses the number to trick Prince Naveen while calling on his friends from beyond. Short excerpts, especially the handshake invitation and the Are You Ready build, later circulated on TikTok and soundboards as a ready made audio for dramatic entrances, edits and meme transformations where someone reveals a darker side.

Dr Facilier singing Shake My Hand from The Princess and the Frog, building to Are You Ready and Transformation Central, used for villain reveal edits.
This clip captures Dr Facilier luring his victim in with a smooth, sinister invitation to shake his hand, then escalating into the big theatrical chorus of Friends on the Other Side. It starts low and persuasive, almost friendly, before the backing voices repeat his calls and the energy surges on Are You Ready and Transformation Central. The contrast between the sly opening and the explosive, ritual-like finale makes it feel like a deal being sealed and a spell taking hold, which is why a simple handshake suddenly feels ominous and dramatic.
