Sonic Unleashed was released by Sega in 2008 for consoles, introducing Sonic's nighttime Werehog form alongside high-speed daytime levels. Clips of Sonic screaming during falls, transformations and cutscenes were later ripped and shared on soundboards and video edits. The long AHHHHH became a classic scream meme staple because it is instantly recognisable to Sonic fans but also works without context as pure cartoon panic. It is still used today in gaming compilations, remixes and reaction edits whenever a moment needs exaggerated fear.

A loud, drawn-out scream from Sonic Unleashed, used in memes, gaming edits and remixes for panic, shock or funny exaggerated reaction moments.
This is a drawn-out, high-pitched scream of pure panic, stretched over several seconds until it becomes absurd. The voice starts loud and strained, then wavers as if the character is falling, being launched, or realising something terrible too late. Because Sonic Unleashed is known for its fast daytime stages and Werehog transformation, the scream fits that chaotic energy perfectly. Viewers instantly read it as cartoon terror rather than real pain, which makes it funny instead of upsetting. Placed over gameplay fails or real-life slips, it exaggerates a small mistake into a huge dramatic disaster.
