Pinkie Pie is the bubbly, hyperactive pony from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, a character famous for sudden bursts of excitement and exaggerated cartoon reactions. Short clips of her voice have long circulated online as reaction sounds, because her high-energy delivery reads instantly even out of context. This surprise gasp fits that pattern perfectly: it is brief, expressive and easy to drop into edits, streams and memes whenever something unexpected happens, which is why creators keep reaching for it years after the show first aired.

A short surprised gasp from Pinkie Pie of My Little Pony, used as a quick reaction sound for unexpected twists, reveals and funny moments in videos and memes.
The clip is a brief, high-pitched gasp of surprise, delivered in Pinkie Pie's energetic cartoon voice. It starts suddenly, rises sharply, and ends almost as quickly as it begins, lasting just over a second. That sudden lift makes it feel playful rather than frightened, like a character reacting to an unexpected present, a silly twist, or a friend appearing out of nowhere. In a video, it instantly signals shock without needing any explanation, giving the viewer a beat of wide-eyed disbelief before the joke or reveal lands.
