The clip comes from a TetOS reskin of the Mac OS 9.0.4 startup sound, presented as found in Machine Love and featuring Kasane Teto, the UTAU voicebank character first introduced in 2008. Fan projects often retheme vintage operating system sounds around Teto, and this short boot chime circulated on soundboards as a niche crossover between retro Mac nostalgia and Vocaloid-adjacent fandom. Its appeal is the contrast between a familiar old-computer startup and a character-specific fan identity, which keeps it useful for edits, fake OS concepts and playful system-start gags online.

TetOS boot sound from Machine Love with Kasane Teto, a short Mac OS 9 startup chime reskin used for retro computer reveals and anime edit intros.
This is a short startup chime styled as TetOS, a Kasane Teto-themed reskin of the classic Mac OS 9.0.4 boot sound featured in Machine Love. The clip lasts just under four seconds and blends a bright, nostalgic computer power-on tone with a playful fan-made operating system feel. It sounds clean, retro and slightly synthetic, like an old machine waking up. Creators use that instant recognition to signal a system starting, a character coming online, or a joke about booting up, giving even a simple cut a polished, techy punch.
