Vilebrequin is a popular French YouTube channel centred on cars, road trips and irreverent humour from its two presenters, whose catchphrases and outbursts are frequently clipped by fans. Ta gueule, a direct French way of telling someone to shut up, works especially well out of context because it needs no translation of tone to be understood. Numbered versions like this one circulate on meme soundboards and in Discord servers, where short French reaction sounds are reused for jokes, arguments and edits. Its brevity keeps it useful long after the original video has faded from memory.

A short French shout of 'ta gueule' from the Vilebrequin car channel, used as a blunt shut-up reaction in memes, video edits and chat replies.
This is a less-than-a-second burst of a male voice shouting the French phrase ta gueule, which roughly means shut up, delivered loud, sharp and without any hesitation. The clip comes from Vilebrequin, the French car-themed YouTube duo, and it lands like a verbal slap: abrupt, confrontational and instantly funny because of its bluntness. There is no music, build-up or punchline after it, just the shout itself, which makes it perfect for cutting someone off mid-sentence. Played over a bad take, a failed argument or an annoying comment, it turns irritation into a joke and leaves no room for a comeback.
