Long screaming clips like this aaaaah became a staple of meme editing because one exaggerated yell can stand in for fear, pain and disbelief all at once. The scream meme and similar drawn out yells are layered over cartoon falls, horror game moments and reaction shots on social video, where the joke comes from how long the sound continues after the moment has passed. With no recognisable words or source line to tie it down, this version gets reused across many different edits and compilations.
About this sound
A long, loud Aaaaah scream sound effect of someone yelling in panic and shock, used as a funny reaction in memes, edits and gaming videos online.
This is a single drawn out scream that starts at full volume and stays there, a raw aaaaah yelled with the mouth wide open for several seconds without a break. There is no music, no words and no build up, just a strained human voice going from shock straight into full panic. The length is what makes it funny, because the screaming continues long after a normal reaction would stop. Played over a fall, a jump scare or a stupid mistake it turns a small moment into total meltdown and makes the whole scene feel much bigger.
