Distance by Long Shot Party served as the second opening theme for Naruto Shippuden, airing in 2007 during the early part of the series. Its English hook you are my friend became the most quoted part of the song for international fans, even though most of the lyrics are in Japanese. Clips of that line later circulated on soundboards and in fan edits, where the short burst works as an instant reference to the opening and to Naruto's determination to bring Sasuke back.
About this sound
A short clip of the You Are My Friend lyric from Distance, the second Naruto Shippuden opening, used in anime friendship edits and nostalgic fan videos.
This is a brief excerpt from Distance, the second opening theme for Naruto Shippuden, built around the English lyric you are my friend. The clip captures the upbeat, earnest energy of the song, with bright rock instrumentation and a sung vocal line that lands like a declaration of loyalty. Even in just a few seconds it feels warm and determined rather than dramatic, which is why it stands out from heavier battle sounds from the series. Listeners familiar with the opening instantly connect it to Naruto and Sasuke and the bond that drives much of the story.
