About this sound

A hyped Brazilian shout of 'Aoo potência!' used as a meme sound effect for powerful reveals, big entrances and funny power-up edits on TikTok and WhatsApp.

The clip is a short burst of pure hype: a Brazilian voice stretches out a loud, rising 'Aooo' before slamming into the word 'potência' with full-throated emphasis, like a stadium announcer declaring something unstoppable. The delivery is exaggerated and playful rather than aggressive, with the drawn-out opening building anticipation and the punchy finish landing the joke. Hearing it makes any ordinary moment feel suddenly comic and epic, which is exactly why editors love dropping it over reveals, upgrades and triumphant entrances.

Pro tip

Drop the shout right on the frame where the reveal lands, not before, so the stretched 'Aooo' builds over the setup and 'potência' hits with the payoff. Keep the volume high and avoid layering other voices underneath, or the punch of the delivery gets lost.

How people use it

Powering up a character before a boss fight.
Revealing a car engine upgrade in a video.
Celebrating a last-second goal with friends.
Introducing a strong new player on stream.

More information

The exact origin of the 'Aoo potência' shout is undocumented, but the clip circulates as a Brazilian meme audio in the same WhatsApp and TikTok circuits as other viral voice shouts like Oi Meu Chapa and ELE GOSTA. Its four-second runtime makes it perfect for quick punchlines, and the exaggerated delivery turned it into shorthand for anything powerful, from souped-up cars to gaming power-ups. Because the humor comes from the over-the-top hype rather than any specific reference, it keeps working years after first appearing.
