Macho Man Randy Savage became one of professional wrestling's most recognisable personalities during his time in WWE, famous for his colourful ring gear, intense promos and larger-than-life delivery. Lines like this one survived long after his wrestling career because they are short, quotable and instantly recognisable even to people who never watched a match. Online, the clip is reused in edits, memes and reaction videos whenever someone wants to claim superiority with humour, keeping Savage's persona alive for a new generation of fans.
About this sound
Randy Savage delivers his boastful 'better than the best' line in this short Macho Man clip, perfect for hype moments, wrestling edits and reaction videos.
This three-second clip captures Randy Savage at his most confident, delivering the line 'better than the best' in the gravelly, high-energy voice that made Macho Man one of wrestling's most imitated characters. His delivery is loud, theatrical and slightly raspy, with the emphasis landing hard on the boast itself, so it feels like a challenge thrown down rather than a quiet compliment. Played on its own, it instantly raises the energy of a moment, turning a good play, a bold claim or a confident entrance into something larger than life and unmistakably Macho.
