The clip comes from the SCP: Secret Laboratory community on Discord, where it was shared with credit to RavenHam, and it draws on CASSIE, the game's in-world announcement voice. That community context matters because players already recognise the flat facility announcements from rounds of the multiplayer horror game, so hearing the same voice deliver a disturbing instruction feels immediately out of place. It has since been reused by SCP fans and meme editors as a short horror punchline, kept alive by its recognisable voice, its dark humour, and its easy fit over gameplay and reaction clips.
About this sound
A distorted SCP Secret Laboratory voice clip of CASSIE telling a player to pull off their skin, used in horror memes for a creepy, unsettling punchline.
The clip is a short, unsettling voice announcement in the flat, robotic style of CASSIE, the facility announcement system from SCP: Secret Laboratory, repeating the command to pull off your skin. The calm, emotionless delivery makes the violent wording feel stranger than a shout would, landing as dark humour rather than a straightforward threat. Played over gameplay, a reaction shot, or a sudden cut, it creates an immediate sense of wrongness, like a familiar system voice saying something it should never say. That contrast is what makes listeners pause, laugh nervously, and remember the moment.
