About this sound

A short mic test clip from VTuber Caren, recorded during a karaoke stream. Fans use it for voice checks, stream intros, and playful soundboard moments.

This short clip captures VTuber Caren doing a quick mic test, the kind of unpolished moment usually heard just before a stream properly begins. Her voice is close, clear and conversational, with the slight hesitation and level-checking feel of someone making sure they can be heard. Because it is only a few seconds long, it lands instantly without needing context, and it feels familiar to anyone who watches live streams. For viewers, the charm is in its ordinariness: a small behind-the-scenes sound that turns a technical check into a recognisable greeting, a joke, or a warm nod to Caren's community.

Pro tip

Drop it at the start of a stream highlight as a fake cold open, then cut straight to the main moment so the mic check feels like a joke. Keep it unedited, and avoid looping it, since the brief check loses its charm on repeat.

How people use it

Opening a VTuber stream highlight with a playful fake mic check.
Testing audio levels before starting a live gaming session.
Greeting Caren fans at the start of a fan edit.
Punctuating a blooper reel with a behind-the-scenes moment.

More information

The clip is linked to a karaoke stream by VTuber Caren, whose name appears in the original stream title alongside Chinese text describing a karaoke broadcast. It was captured through Microsoft Game DVR, suggesting a fan recorded the moment rather than it being an official release. On soundboards it sits among short VTuber and meme clips, where small, recognisable voice moments are saved for reuse. Its appeal is less about a famous line and more about preserving a casual pre-stream check from a creator's live broadcast.
