Carlos Ramon is one of the students in Ms. Frizzle's class in The Magic School Bus, the animated series that began in 1994 and was based on Joanna Cole's books. The character became memorable for his constant puns and exaggerated reactions during impossible field trips. This brief scream circulated later as a standalone soundboard button under the name Instant Carlos, and searches in Spanish and Portuguese for Carlos screaming helped spread it beyond English speaking audiences as a quick cartoon reaction for edits and chats.
About this sound
Short scream from Carlos on The Magic School Bus, this quick cartoon yell is used as a sudden reaction in funny edits, memes and school clips.
This is a very short vocal clip of Carlos from The Magic School Bus letting out a loud, panicked scream. Lasting just over a second, the yell jumps in at full volume with no build up, which makes the surprise the whole joke. The cartoon delivery keeps it light rather than scary, with a clear kid voice that cuts through background music or dialogue. Editors use that instant shock to underline a character noticing danger, making a mistake or reacting to something gross on a class field trip.
