Chucky is the killer doll from the Child's Play horror films, a character who became a horror icon for his cheerful voice and violent behaviour. In Roblox, the asymmetrical horror game Survive the Killer lets players take on the role of killers inspired by horror characters, including Chucky, and clips of his laugh began circulating as a meme sound. Creators now use it in the same way as a scream meme, dropping it into horror gameplay, Halloween edits and prank videos to signal danger with a joke. Its short length and instantly recognisable giggle keep it useful for edits.
About this sound
Chucky's creepy doll laugh from Survive the Killer on Roblox, a high-pitched giggle used for horror memes, jump scares and creepy edits and prank videos.
Chucky's laugh is a short, high-pitched giggle from the killer doll in Survive the Killer on Roblox, lasting just under five seconds. It starts with a sharp, mischievous chuckle that quickly rises into a manic, childlike cackle, with a raspy edge that makes it sound playful and threatening at the same time. The laugh feels instantly recognisable to horror fans, even without seeing the doll, because it mixes innocent cartoon energy with a cold, creepy menace. Played over a normal scene, it turns something ordinary into something unsettling, and in a horror edit it lands like a warning that something bad is about to happen.
