Revenge was released in 2011 by CaptainSparklez with vocals by TryHardNinja, as a Minecraft parody of Usher's DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love. The song follows a player mining at night while fighting off creepers. In summer 2019 the opening lyric became a huge copy and paste game on Discord and social media, where users tried to type the full lyrics in sequence without interruption. That revival turned a nostalgic gaming song into a lasting meme sound used far beyond Minecraft videos.
About this sound
The Creeper Aw Man sound from the Minecraft Revenge song, used in gaming edits, memes and reaction videos when one sneaks up behind you in game.
This is the instantly recognisable opening line from Revenge, the Minecraft parody where a singer spots a creeper creeping up and groans in resignation. Delivered in a smooth, melodic pop style over a bright beat, the phrase 'Creeper, aw man' lands as both a warning and a punchline. Anyone who has played Minecraft knows what comes next, the hiss and explosion that wipes out your work. That shared dread is why the clip feels funny rather than just musical, triggering nostalgia, anticipation and a laugh before anything even blows up on screen.
