The French title translates as witch death cry, and the clip is shared online as a short game-style sound effect rather than a line from a known film or show. Its theatrical shriek makes it easy to recognise in Halloween compilations, reaction videos and gaming edits, where it is used to mark a villain's defeat or a joke going wrong. Because it is brief and clearly exaggerated, it works as a standalone punchline and has kept circulating among creators looking for a spooky but funny death sound.
About this sound
A high-pitched witch death scream that rises into a shriek and fades out as she dies. Used for Halloween videos, spooky games and scary edits.
The clip is a short, theatrical death cry from a witch, lasting just under four seconds. It opens with a sharp, raspy gasp, climbs into a high, wailing shriek and then collapses into a fading, croaky groan, as if the character is losing power mid-scream. The exaggerated, almost cartoonish delivery makes it feel more comic than genuinely frightening, which is why it lands so well as a reaction. Dropped over a failed spell, a boss defeat or a Halloween costume reveal, it instantly signals that something wicked has just met a messy, dramatic end.
