Burt Gummer, played by Michael Gross, is the paranoid survivalist from the Tremors franchise, which began with the 1990 film set in Perfection, Nevada. Known for his stockpiles, conspiracy thinking and dead serious warnings about Graboids, Burt became the series most quoted character across sequels and television. This complaint about withheld information fits his worldview perfectly, so fans clipped it as a reaction for any situation involving secrets or poor communication. Its length and escalating tone keep it popular in meme edits long after the original scene.
About this sound
Burt Gummer complains he was denied critical need to know information in this Tremors clip, used for moments when vital details are kept secret.
This is Burt Gummer delivering one of his exasperated rants from Tremors, insisting he has been denied critical need to know information. His voice is indignant and clipped, building from disbelief into full survivalist outrage, as if a missing detail could get everyone killed. The line lasts about ten seconds, long enough to let the complaint land properly. Viewers instantly recognise the paranoia and dry humour that define Burt, and the delivery turns a simple complaint about being left out into a dramatic accusation that makes ordinary secrecy feel hilariously serious and urgent.
