Little is known about the exact source of this clip beyond its EmilianoYTP label and its circulation as a meme sound, but its short length and intense delivery have helped it spread among editors looking for a quick scare. The existing note warning listeners to use headphones reflects how loud and sudden the scream feels on first listen. Because it needs no context to work, it is often reused in reaction videos, horror-themed edits and comedic shock moments, where a single scream can carry the whole punchline without dialogue or explanation.
About this sound
A loud, panicked scream from EmilianoYTP, used as a scary reaction sound in memes and edits when something shocking or frightening suddenly happens on screen.
This short clip captures a high-pitched, frantic scream that rises quickly and holds its panicked energy for just under five seconds, making it feel sudden and unsettling rather than comedic. The voice sounds strained and desperate, as if reacting to a jump scare, which gives editors a ready-made moment of alarm to drop over a surprising reveal. Played at full volume it can startle a viewer, so it works best when the visual already sets up tension and then breaks it. Its raw, unpolished quality adds to the shock, turning an ordinary clip into something that feels chaotic and genuinely frightening for a few seconds.
