About this sound

An 8-second music clip from Mario Joy's song California, featuring its catchy vocal hook used in edits, reels and meme videos for an upbeat summer vibe.

This is a short excerpt from California by Romanian singer Mario Joy, built around a bright pop vocal and a bouncy dance beat. The clip captures the song's instantly recognisable hook, with a smooth male vocal over electronic production that feels sunny and energetic. It lasts just over eight seconds, long enough to land as a musical punchline or transition. Listeners get an immediate lift from the melody, which is why the snippet works well dropped into short videos where a confident, carefree mood needs to be established quickly without any dialogue or explanation.

Pro tip

Place the hook right on a reveal or outfit change so the vocal entry marks the transformation. Trim to the strongest four seconds for Reels, keep the beat under dialogue-free B-roll, and avoid looping it, as the melody tires quickly on repeat.

How people use it

Drop under summer travel montages for instant vacation energy.
Use as transition into outfit reveal or glow-up clips.
Add to car ride videos cruising through sunny streets.
Score dance edits where beat needs quick confident lift.

More information

California is a pop dance track by Mario Joy, released with an official video that helped the song travel far beyond its home market through streaming and social sharing. Its catchy English-language hook made short excerpts easy to lift and reuse, so clips began appearing on soundboards and in fan edits detached from the full song. The eight second Foleffec upload preserves that hook in isolation, which explains its second life as a quick audio cue online rather than as a full music release people sit and listen to.

FAQ

What is the Foleffec sound?

It is an eight second excerpt from California by Mario Joy, built around the song's vocal hook and dance beat. The odd name comes from the original soundboard upload, but the audio itself is a straight music clip, not a game effect.

Where does this sound come from?

The clip is taken from Mario Joy's pop song California and its official video. A short section was cut and shared online as a standalone sound, which is why only the hook is heard and there is no intro or verse.

How do people use this sound in videos?

Creators use it as a quick musical lift for travel, summer, dance and glow-up edits. Because it is only eight seconds and starts with a recognisable hook, it works best as a transition or reveal moment rather than background music for a long scene.
