The line comes from Gex 2 Enter the Gecko, the 1998 platform game built around Gex making constant parodies of television and film. Its joke refers to Fox Mulder from The X-Files, whose sister Samantha's alien abduction drives much of his story. Clips of Gex's one liners later circulated on soundboards and in meme edits, where this specific reference survived because it is recognisable to X-Files fans yet baffling to everyone else, making it useful as a random, unexplained reaction sound online.
About this sound
Fox Mulder's sister is a short voice line from Gex 2 where Gex parodies The X-Files, used as a random meme sound effect in edits and streams.
This is a brief spoken line delivered in Gex's wisecracking style, name-dropping Fox Mulder's sister as a joke about The X-Files alien abduction storyline. The delivery is deadpan and oddly specific, which is why the clip feels funny even without context. Played on its own it sounds like a non sequitur punchline, a random TV reference dropped into a conversation or video at exactly the wrong moment. That out of place energy makes it land as absurdist humour rather than a straightforward quote, especially when repeated or cut in suddenly after a pause.
