The galaxy brain meme became a widely shared image macro in the late 2010s, showing a series of brains growing more cosmic as each idea becomes more extreme. Bass-boosted audio edits became a natural match for that format on short meme videos, especially on YouTube, Discord, and repost pages. The sound is still used because it instantly signals ironic enlightenment, exaggerated intelligence, and escalating absurdity. It often appears alongside other blunt reaction sounds such as bruh when the joke is about acting way too smart.
About this sound
Bass-boosted galaxy brain meme audio used with expanding brain jokes, overthinking edits and ironic genius reveals in meme videos.
This clip is the loud, bass-boosted audio commonly paired with the galaxy brain meme format. It builds a dramatic, blown-out sense of importance that turns a simple joke into an exaggerated moment of fake enlightenment or absurd intelligence. The heavy low end and distorted punch make each reveal feel bigger than it should, which is exactly why it works so well in irony edits. Creators use it when a video jumps from a normal idea to a ridiculously overcomplicated or supposedly genius conclusion.
