W. D. Gaster is a deliberately elusive figure in Undertale, released in 2015 by Toby Fox, mentioned in fragments by followers and linked to experiments, Entry Number Seventeen and text written in Wingdings. Because the game never shows him plainly, fans built his identity from unused files, distorted voices and fan edits. This stretched eooo clip fits that culture perfectly, circulating on soundboards as shorthand for Gaster appearing off screen. It remains popular because a single unresolved tone can signal mystery without needing dialogue or an actual reveal in the edit.
About this sound
A drawn-out Gaster vocal sound effect from Undertale, with eerie stretched eooo tones used for mysterious, glitchy and unsettling meme edits.
This is a long, wavering vocalisation associated with W. D. Gaster, the hidden figure from Undertale, stretched into a sequence of eooo and ooo sounds that rise and fall without forming words. The tone is hollow and slightly distorted, like a voice calling through static or an old recording played at the wrong speed. It lasts long enough to feel uncomfortable, which is exactly why it works. Viewers hear it and instantly expect something secret, broken or forbidden to appear, making even a normal scene feel like a glitch or a hidden lore reveal.
