Get Schwifty comes from Rick and Morty, first heard in the season two episode of the same name in 2015, where Rick and Morty perform it to impress giant alien heads threatening Earth. The catchy chorus and absurd premise helped the track travel beyond the episode through YouTube clips, remixes and meme edits, and it later became a shorthand for turning a tense situation into a party. Fans still reuse it because the hook is instantly recognisable and works without any context from the show.
About this sound
The Get Schwifty song from Rick and Morty, with the pair singing over a groovy beat, often used in memes and edits for chaotic party moments.
Get Schwifty is the upbeat, dance-ready song from Rick and Morty where Rick and Morty drop the usual sci-fi chaos and turn a room into an impromptu party, chanting the title phrase over a funky bassline, bright synths and a driving beat. The vocals are playful and slightly unhinged, with Morty's nervous energy bouncing off Rick's confident swagger, and the repeated hook makes it instantly catchy even for listeners who have never seen the show. Played at full volume it feels like a sudden mood lift, turning an awkward pause into a celebration and giving edits a burst of absurd, feel-good energy that is hard to ignore.
