Gotta Sweep comes from Baldi's Basics, the 2018 indie game by Micah McGonigal, also known as mystman12. In the game, Gotta Sweep is the janitor character who slides through the school and pushes the player away. The line became a favorite in gameplay videos, meme edits and short gaming compilations because it signals instant disruption. It still shows up in reaction clips and chaotic gaming posts alongside other recognizable game sounds like the ROBLOX oof, where a familiar audio cue quickly sells the joke.
About this sound
The Gotta Sweep clip from Baldi's Basics features the janitor saying his line before rushing down the hall. People use it for sudden interruptions and chaotic game memes.
This sound is the iconic Gotta Sweep voice clip from Baldi's Basics, the schoolhouse horror parody game. It usually features the character's cheerful but threatening line about it being sweeping time, tied to the moment he charges through the hallway and shoves everything in his path. The delivery is goofy, loud and instantly recognizable to players, which is why it lands so well in edits. It gives a scene a sudden burst of chaos, like an unstoppable interruption that clears the room and ruins whatever careful plan was happening.
