The clip comes from a June 2024 street interview in Nashville, where Haliey Welch was asked what move drives a man wild in bed and answered with the now-famous Hawk Tuah line. The interview was shared on TikTok and quickly spread through reaction videos, remixes, and soundboards, turning an unscripted answer into a catchphrase. Its short, quotable rhythm made it easy to reuse across dating, comedy, and reaction content, and it later grew into merchandise and a podcast, keeping the phrase in circulation long after the original video faded.
About this sound
The viral Hawk Tuah voice clip from a 2024 street interview, with the spit sound and punchline delivery creators use for funny reaction memes.
This short clip captures the moment the phrase Hawk Tuah is delivered in a playful, confident Southern drawl, followed by a sharp, exaggerated spit sound that lands like a punchline. The voice is clear and close to the microphone, with a rising, teasing cadence before the final syllables drop into the joke. Listeners recognise it instantly, even without the video, because the rhythm and the spit noise do the comic work on their own. Played over a reaction, a flirtatious caption, or an unexpected reveal, it turns a simple moment into a knowing joke that feels bold, cheeky, and deliberately over the top.
