Hermes and Renato are a Brazilian comedy duo best known for their sketch television work, where exaggerated characters and deliberately crude, absurd humour became a cult favourite in Brazil. Clips from their sketches have long circulated online, and short moments like this banana sound are easy to lift out of context, share in chats and reuse in edits. Its appeal is not a complex joke but instant recognition for fans and pure silliness for everyone else, which is why it keeps appearing in meme videos and reaction edits years later.
About this sound
The Hermes and Renato banana sound, a short comedic clip from the Brazilian comedy duo, often used in memes and edits for silly or absurd moments.
This is a short, punchy comedy clip from Hermes and Renato built around the word banana, delivered with the exaggerated, deadpan humour that made the Brazilian duo famous. It lasts just a few seconds, so it lands instantly without needing any setup, and its silliness is the whole joke: a completely ordinary word turned into a punchline by timing and delivery. Played over a reaction shot or a failed attempt, it makes the moment feel deliberately absurd and lighthearted, giving viewers a quick laugh before the video moves on.
