Bababooey is a long-running joke associated with The Howard Stern Show, where fans began shouting the name at public events and broadcasts as a kind of insider callout. The name itself became a recognisable prank signal, spreading through radio clips, golf tournaments and online videos until it was widely used as a meme sound on its own. This version captures that shouted, crowd-style delivery, which is why creators still use it for reveals, interruptions and deliberately over-the-top moments.
About this sound
The classic Bababooey shout from the Howard Stern Show, used as a prank call punchline and meme reaction for surprising reveals and funny interruptions.
This clip is a loud, drawn-out shout of the name Bababooey, delivered with the playful, over-the-top energy of a crowd callout or radio prank. The voice rises and holds the name just long enough for it to land as a joke, making it instantly recognisable even to listeners who have never heard the original broadcast. It works because it sounds both triumphant and absurd, turning a simple name into a punchline. Dropped into a video, it gives a reveal, a fail or an unexpected entrance an instant burst of chaotic, crowd-pleasing humour.
