Hog Rider comes from Supercell's Clash of Clans and Clash Royale, where the character rides a hog and leaps over the river into battle while shouting his name. Clips of the deployment cry were ripped from gameplay and shared on soundboards and in meme edits during the peak of Clash Royale's popularity. The exaggerated yell became shorthand online for any all-in rush, especially in gaming videos, and it remains a staple reaction sound for entrances, charges and overconfident plays.
About this sound
The Hog Rider sound effect is the loud shout from Clash Royale that players spam as a meme for charging into battle or rushing anything online.
The sound is a high-energy male voice yelling Hog Rider at full volume, stretched into an excited battle cry that lasts a few seconds. It captures the moment the card deploys in Clash Royale and the hog jumps into action. The delivery is over the top, loud and instantly recognisable, which is why it works as a punchline on its own. Viewers hear it and immediately picture a reckless charge, making even a small entrance or a simple jump feel dramatic and funny.
