Dr. Steve Brule began as a recurring character on Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! before getting his own Adult Swim series, Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule. Played by John C. Reilly, Brule delivers health and lifestyle advice with total confidence despite constant confusion. His odd word choices and mispronunciations became widely quoted online, and short isolated lines like hunks spread as reaction sounds on soundboards and in meme edits, where his earnest tone contrasts with almost any situation it is placed into.
About this sound
Dr. Steve Brule says hunks in his awkward deadpan voice from Check It Out. People use this short clip for funny reactions and meme edits online.
This is a short vocal clip of Dr. Steve Brule saying the word hunks in his usual confused and overly serious tone. The delivery is slow, flat and slightly slurred, which makes a simple compliment sound strange and unintentionally funny. There is no music or background effect, just the isolated line standing on its own. That awkward pause and earnest expression behind the voice are what give it its charm, turning an ordinary word into a deadpan punchline that lands instantly in edits and reaction videos without needing any extra context at all.
