Incineroar is a Pokemon introduced in Pokemon Sun and Moon, designed as a bulky fire wrestler. The character joined Super Smash Bros Ultimate as a playable fighter, and this clip comes from its reveal trailer for that game. Fans isolated the short cry because it sounded like the English word egg, turning a fierce roar into a meme. The clip spread on soundboards and in edited gameplay videos, where its brevity and mismatch with Incineroar's intimidating design keep it popular for quick comedic reveals.
About this sound
Incineroar shouting Egg from its Super Smash Bros Ultimate reveal trailer, a short Pokemon cry used for funny reveals, surprises and meme edits.
This is a very short clip of Incineroar, the Fire and Dark type Pokemon, letting out a sharp cry that sounds exactly like the word egg. The delivery is loud, sudden and oddly round, with the single syllable landing in just over a second before cutting off. Because it is so unexpected for such a large, wrestler-like character, the sound feels instantly funny rather than threatening. Viewers tend to replay it, drop it into unrelated scenes, or use it as a reaction when something small and silly appears out of nowhere.
