The phrase it's a prank bro became a familiar catchphrase in online prank culture, where creators shout it to reassure a target that a staged trick is not real. It circulates widely in short-form videos, reaction edits and prank compilations, often appearing right at the moment of reveal. Because the wording is simple and instantly recognisable, it has stayed useful long after individual prank trends fade, serving as shorthand for the whole genre. Its short length also makes it easy to drop into memes, streams and chat replies.
About this sound
A short voice clip saying it's a prank bro, used after a joke reveal to defuse a prank gone wrong. Creators drop it at the moment the trick is exposed.
This is a brief spoken clip, just over a second long, in which a young male voice delivers the line it's a prank bro in a casual, slightly defensive tone, as if trying to calm someone down after a joke has landed badly. The delivery is quick and informal, with the emphasis falling on prank, giving it the feel of a last-minute excuse rather than a planned punchline. When it plays over a video, it instantly signals that the chaos on screen was staged, turning tension into relief and inviting the audience to laugh at the reaction instead of worrying about it.
