The sound comes from John Cena's WWE entrance theme, The Time Is Now, first used as his wrestling theme in the mid-2000s and tied to his you can't see me catchphrase. Around 2015, the Unexpected John Cena meme took off on Vine and YouTube, splicing the blaring theme into quiet clips as a fake-out punchline. The gag worked because everyone recognised the horns instantly. Years later, creators still reach for it whenever a video needs a sudden, over-the-top entrance, since few sounds telegraph a surprise reveal so clearly.
About this sound
A John Cena meme sound clip tied to his wrestling persona and entrance theme. Creators use it for surprise reveals, prank punchlines and highlight moments.
This is the instantly recognisable John Cena meme sound, built around the brassy opening of his WWE entrance theme. It bursts in with bold horns and a driving beat, then drops the famous tagline energy that wrestling fans know by heart. The clip feels like a spotlight snapping on: sudden, confident and impossible to ignore. Viewers hear it and immediately expect someone to appear out of nowhere, which is exactly why it lands so well as a punchline. It turns an ordinary reveal into a mock-epic entrance, making the moment feel bigger, funnier and strangely triumphant.
