Jordan Peterson is a Canadian psychologist and author whose lectures and interviews are frequently clipped into short reaction sounds online. This up yours moment spread because it captures his formal speaking style colliding with a blunt, informal insult, making it highly shareable as a meme response. Short Peterson clips circulate widely on video platforms and soundboards, where users isolate single lines for comedic timing. This one remains popular for debates and commentary videos because the delivery is instantly recognisable and works without any surrounding context.
About this sound
Jordan Peterson saying up yours in his distinctive voice, clipped from an interview moment and used as a blunt reaction sound for arguments and memes.
This is a short clip of Jordan Peterson delivering the phrase up yours with calm, clipped emphasis rather than shouting. His dry Canadian delivery and serious academic tone make the insult sound oddly polite and dismissive at the same time. The contrast is what makes it funny, as a normally measured lecture voice suddenly drops a playground style retort. Listeners hear it as a deadpan shutdown, perfect for punctuating a bad take or ending an argument without raising the volume or adding extra explanation.
