Without a confirmed source or named creator, khakithhh circulates purely as a short meme sound effect shared on soundboards and in edited clips. Its appeal comes from how literal the noise is, a throat clearing spit that needs no context or dialogue to understand. Creators reuse it in reaction edits, gaming highlights and short form comedy where disgust is the joke, often repeating the same clip across unrelated videos. That portability has kept the sound in rotation even though its origin remains unclear and unattributed in most reposts online today.
About this sound
The khakithhh clip is a short throat clearing and spitting noise used as a meme reaction for gross, funny or disgusted moments in short comedy videos online.
Khakithhh is a brief, exaggerated throat sound that mimics someone clearing their throat loudly before spitting. The clip starts with a harsh khaki scrape in the back of the throat and ends with a sharp thhh release, making it instantly recognizable as a gross out gag. It lasts just over two seconds, which is enough to land as a punchline without dragging. Viewers read it immediately as disgust, mockery or comedic contempt, so a single play can turn an ordinary reaction shot into a meme moment.
