Octane was added to Apex Legends in March 2019 as the game's high speed daredevil Legend, voiced by Nicolas Roye. His voice lines were built around racing, stunts and stimulant fueled movement, and Let's go for a ride became a favourite for players who main the character. As Apex clips spread on YouTube, Twitch and TikTok, editors began lifting the line for non Apex footage too, using it whenever a video shifts from standing still to moving fast. Its short length keeps it popular for memes and montages.
About this sound
Octane saying Let's go for a ride from Apex Legends, a fast energetic voice line creators drop into speedruns, montages, gaming edits and highlight clips.
This is Octane's short voice line from Apex Legends, delivered in his hyper, adrenaline fueled style as he says let's go for a ride. The clip is only a couple of seconds long but it is packed with energy, with a quick, excited delivery that sounds like he is already sprinting before the sentence ends. It works because Octane is known for speed and reckless movement, so the line instantly signals motion and chaos. Dropped over gameplay or a real life clip, it makes even a simple start feel like a launch into something fast and unpredictable.
