The clip comes from the Vsauce video titled Mario Farts, which turned a childish joke about the Nintendo character into a deliberately absurd comedy bit. Fans clipped the funniest fart sounds from it and shared them on meme soundboards and in short-form edits, where the contrast between Mario's innocent image and the crude noise made it easy to reuse. It has stayed popular because it works instantly without context, much like a fart with reverb, and fits gaming fails, prank edits and reaction videos where a quick, silly interruption is all the joke needs.
About this sound
A short Mario Farts sound effect sampled from the classic Vsauce video, with cartoonish fart noises used for silly meme edits and prank reactions.
This clip captures the silly, over-the-top fart humour from the Vsauce video Mario Farts, stretched into a short, punchy audio gag. It mixes cartoonish, bubbly fart sounds with a playful, childish energy that feels deliberately absurd rather than gross, making it land as a joke rather than a shock. The rhythm is loose and bouncy, with each burst sounding exaggerated and almost musical in its silliness. Listeners usually laugh because the sound is so unexpected and committed to the bit, turning a simple bodily noise into a memorable punchline that works best when it interrupts something serious or overly dramatic.
