Matt Berry is a British actor and comedian best known for his distinctive voice and for playing Laszlo Cravensworth in the television series What We Do in the Shadows, a mockumentary about vampires living in modern New York. Clips of Berry's delivery circulate widely online because his theatrical style is easy to recognise and easy to reuse in short edits. This disco clip is shared in that same way, usually as a reaction sound rather than a full scene, and it remains popular with fans of the show and of Berry's comedy.
About this sound
Matt Berry delivers a blunt disco line as Laszlo in What We Do in the Shadows, in his deep theatrical voice. Fans use it for funny party and reveal moments.
This short clip captures Matt Berry in full Laszlo mode, delivering a disco line with the actor's famously deep, booming voice and a hint of theatrical contempt. The delivery is slow, deliberate and slightly over-the-top, so the word lands less like a simple reference and more like a judgement, which is exactly why it sticks. It sounds instantly recognisable even out of context, because Berry's timing and gravelly tone do most of the work. Played over a reaction shot or a sudden change of scene, it turns an ordinary moment into something grand, ridiculous and unmistakably in character.
