Wednesday Addams, known in French as Mercredi Adams, is the deadpan daughter from The Addams Family, a character first created for cartoons and later played on screen in films and television. She reached a new generation through the Netflix series Wednesday, where her dark humour, gothic style and famous dance became widely shared online. Short clips of her voice and mannerisms spread across TikTok, YouTube and meme pages, where creators reuse them to add a spooky, sarcastic tone to everyday situations. The character's instantly recognisable personality keeps the sound useful long after the original scenes.
About this sound
The Wednesday Addams sound effect from the Netflix series, with her dark, deadpan delivery. Creators use it for spooky, sarcastic and goth edits and memes.
This short Wednesday Addams clip captures the character's cold, deadpan style in just a few seconds, with a flat, measured voice and a quiet, unsettling calm that makes the line land harder than a shout. There is no music or shouting to carry it, only that dry, gothic delivery and a pause that lets the mood settle. It works because Wednesday never tries to sound funny or frightening, which makes the moment feel stranger and more memorable. Used in a video, it instantly adds a spooky, sarcastic edge and tells viewers the joke is dark, clever and a little bit creepy.
