The Mk14 is a designated marksman rifle best known to players from battle royale and military shooters such as PUBG, where its selective fire mode made it a prized crate and loot weapon. Clips of its distinctive rapid fire were lifted from gameplay and shared on soundboards as a standalone effect, separate from any dialogue or soundtrack. Because the name is just the weapon model, creators use the short sound to tag gunfights in edits, gaming compilations and parody battles without showing the original game at all.
About this sound
Rapid Mk14 rifle shots from battle royale shooters, a sharp burst of automatic gunfire used in gaming edits, memes and intense action scenes.
This clip captures the Mk14 firing in quick succession, with sharp cracks, metallic cycling and a fast echo that makes each shot feel close and powerful. The rhythm is relentless for almost seven seconds, building tension without any voice or music underneath. In an edit it instantly signals combat, danger or a player pushing forward, and the clean, dry gunfire cuts through gameplay footage or a meme scene. Viewers recognise the pattern from modern shooters, so even a still image feels like it is suddenly under fire when the sound starts.
